On Friday, New Orleans-based brass/hip-hop ensemble The Soul Rebels officially released their new album, Poetry in Motion, via Artistry Music.
The genre-bending 12-track album features a plethora of guests contributions including Big Freedia, Matisyahu, Trombone Shorty, PJ Morton, and Robert Glasper.
The band shared their thoughts on the new album in a press release. They explained,
The writing and recording process for this album was like no other. There’s a lot of personal themes explored because we’re telling the story about our lives. Each track has its own flavor and spice from each member, and you can feel it.
