Live for Live Music is beyond amped to present The Soul Rebels at the Rockwood Music Hall on May 17th.  We have been working with these guys for a hot minute now, and couldn’t be happier to be bringing their explosive stage show to NYC to start the summer off in the best way possible.  They put on a show that you will not want to miss!

Hailing from New Orleans, The Soul Rebels are known for their infectiously fun live shows, which incorporate the standard marching band format and mixes in genres ranging from soul, funk, R&B, hip-hop, to rock and dance music.  Once they get on the stage, the vibe is contagious, and everyone in the crowd is singing and dancing along to both the bands originals and well-known covers.

It has been a wild year or so for the Rebels, as they have played to packed crowds at NYC’s Highline Ballroom for the CMJ Showcase and Austin City Limits, three sold-out shows at Brooklyn Bowl, and acted as the house band for the 2013 NFL Honors Awards show.  With their weekly show at Le Bon Temps Roulé in New Orleans, and having shared the stage with acts like Galactic, Karl Denson, Maceo Parker, Metallica, Green Day, along with festival appearances at Bonnaroo, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Voodoo Festival and Electric Forest, The Soul Rebels are looking to make 2013 their biggest year yet.
