For years, jazz/funk fusion trio Soulive held down an annual winter spot at the Brooklyn Bowl for a guest-filled residency dubbed Bowlive. After taking a year off from the tradition, the band returned in 2017 for a summer rendition, then took 2018 off. Now, in celebration of their 20-year anniversary as a band, Soulive will make their triumphant return to the Brooklyn Bowl for a reduced, six-night run on July 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, and 20th.

Part of the glory of these Bowlive shows is the unexpected moments that often transpire. You truly never know who will walk through the doors of the Brooklyn Bowl, especially when Eric Krasno, Neal Evans, and Alan Evans are hosting a show. While special guests have yet to be announced, fans already know they’ll be in for a treat.

Previous special guests have included Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi, George Porter Jr., Oteil Burbridge, Kofi Burbridge, Kamasi Washington, Robert Randolph, Nikki Bluhm, Karl Denson, Doyle Bramhall II, Antwaun Stanley, GRiZ, John Scofield, Marcus King, and so many more legendary musicians.

We’ll be sure to update you as more details become available. Tickets to Bowlive VIII go on sale this Friday, April 19th at 10 AM. ET. Limited three- and six-night packages will be available. Click here for additional information.
