On Friday, May 4th, fast-rising Arizona jam quartet Spafford will release their highly anticipated new album, For Amusement Only, as a self-release via Seed, marking the group’s first official studio album since their self-titled debut release nearly six years ago. In that six-year gap, the band has officially released five live records plus their hour-long impromptu improv odyssey, Abaculus: An Improvisational Experience.

Fans have been rabid to hear this newest studio effort from the group—especially given Spafford’s fiery 2018 For Amusement Only tour—which will include studio renditions of fan-favorite live staples “Leave the Light On”, “Ain’t That Wrong”, and “Mind’s Unchained” as well as new songs like “Fuel” and “When It Falls”.

Today, ahead of the release of For Amusement Only next Friday, Spafford has released the official lyric video for “Leave the Light On”, which was created by Wulfenbear Media. You can check out Spafford’s new lyric video, featuring the studio rendition of “Leave the Light On” off the upcoming album, below. The single is currently available on all streaming platforms, and fans can pre-order their new album, For Amusement Only, on Spafford’s website here.

The group will also celebrate the release of their new album with two late-night performances during New Orleans’ Jazz & Heritage Festival at Republic NOLA on Friday, May 4th, and Saturday, May 5th. Head here for more information.
