Several fans were reportedly injured in a stampede that took place at UNO Lakefront Arena Festival Grounds in New Orleans, LA during Lil Wayne‘s outdoor Lil WeezyAna Fest on Saturday.

According to reports, something or someone mysteriously caused large groups of fans at the event to panic and flee following Meek Mill‘s early evening performance. The stampede resulted in the event’s medical tent and concession booths near the stage being overrun, with the tent demolished to point of being in “tatters.”

The stampede also resulted in something of a venue production disaster, as sections of perimeter fencing were also pushed down and tables were overturned. Some attendees even claimed to have taken advantage of the sudden commotion by pouring themselves a drink and raiding cash registers, tip jars, and other personal items. Festival staff working the concessions had abandoned the booths amid the confusion and chaos.

Apparently, the stampede didn’t affect the event’s scheduled sets, as rappers Travis Scott and Lil Wayne took the stage to perform even after the stampede. Other artists who performed at the event included Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, and Trey Songz to name a few.

Neither Lil Wayne nor the event organizers have released an official statement on the incident.
