Star Kitchen will return to The Big Easy for a performance during this year’s New Orleans Jazz Fest on Thursday, April 30th at the beloved French Quarter club, One Eyed Jacks. Tickets are available here.

The funky side project of bassist Marc Brownstein (The Disco Biscuits) features Marlon Lewis (Lauryn Hill, John Legend) on drums, Danny Mayer (Eric Krasno Band) on guitar, and Rob Marscher (Addison Groove Project, Matisyahu) on keys.

As Brownstein has noted on various occasions, Star Kitchen was conceived as a vehicle for such collaborative outings as Jazz Fest after dark. In the true spirit of Jazz Fest, an all-star cast of musical guests will collaborate with the band during their performance in New Orleans. In addition to Trey Anastasio Band trombonist/vocalist Natalie Cressman and saxophonist James Casey, Snarky Puppy and Ghost-Note percussionist Nate Werth will all join in on the fun at One Eyed Jacks.

Star Kitchen formed in 2018 and has since played headlining shows and festivals across the country. A successful 2019 included shows during Jazz Fest and Resonance Music & Arts Festival which led them to a guest-filled performance during the inaugural Denver Comes Alive at Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO this past January.

The Star Kitchen late-night show on April 30th joins Live For Live Music’s other previously-announced Jazz Fest after-parties including The Daze Between Band featuring Eric Krasno, Marcus King, Ivan Neville, Duane Trucks, and more at Tipitina’s on April 29th; a Tribute to Steely Dan featuring members of Turkuaz, The Motet, The Nth Power, and Ghost-Note at Howlin’ Wolf on April 30th; The Emerald Quintet featuring Skerik, Stanton Moore, Scott Metzger, Robert Walter, and Andy Hess at One Eyed Jacks on May 1st; Break Science at One Eyed Jacks on May 2nd; Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles at Maison on April 25th; and a sold-out tribute to Dr. John and Art Neville at One Eyed Jacks on May 1st.
