Steely Dan wrapped their six-night run at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on Tuesday night. The 20-song concert was highlighted by the surprise appearance from Jenny Lewis about halfway through the show, who helped the classic rock outfit perform “Dirty Work”.

The theme throughout Steely Dan’s Beacon Theatre run has been that of performing a different album from the band’s discography in full each night, with Tuesday’s show being comprised of their “Greatest Hits.” After opening with some of the most well-known songs from the Steely Dan catalog including “Sign in Stranger”, “Hey Nineteen”, “Kid Charlemagne”, “Things I Miss The Most”, “Razor Boy”, and “Josie”, the band welcomed Lewis to the stage to help sing on “Dirty Work” from their 1972 album, Can’t Buy A Thrill.

The band would go on to close the show with renditions of “Bodhisattva”, “Peg”, and “My Old School”, with “Reelin’ in the Years”
and a cover of Joe Williams‘ “A Man Ain’t Supposed to Cry” during the encore.
