STOUT teamed up with her Funk Apostles bandmate Cory Henry for a brief but impassioned performance in Los Angeles which was captured on video and shared by the singer via her Instagram late Sunday night. The intimate show saw Henry on keyboard/organ while STOUT delivered a mesmerizing vocal performance.
While it does sound like there was more than just the musicians in the room, this wasn’t quite a public performance by any means. The two were also later joined by a drummer towards the latter half of the climactic video.
Just last week Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles released a new single, “Rise”, with proceeds from the song set to benefit civil rights advocacy organization Color of Change.
