Antemasque’s debut album is available for digital purchase and can be streamed below. The band is an offshoot of Mars Volta featuring Omar Rodriquez-Lopez, Cedric Bixler-Zavala and drummer David Elitch. The self-titled debut album also features Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The band first came out with new single “4 AM” featuring Flea, and decided to create a full LP due to the positive response. The band said, “If the whole thing looked unplanned, that’s because it was. The anticipation of what the reaction from fans and critics would be was very real for us with every new song we put out.”
According to Bixler, the sound of the album is if “The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In had a baby, and it’s called Antemasque.” Check it out below.
