As we reported back in earlier this year, Del the Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator, and Kid Koala are back with Deltron 3030‘s Event II, the follow-up to the self-titled hip-hop concept album that came out in 2000.  Event II boasts an impressive list of cameos ranging from Gorillaz cohort Damon Albarn, Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha, Faith No More’s Mike Patton, The Lonely Island, and Emily Wells.

Also making appearances on the new Deltron 3030 album (in what capacity, it is not yet known) are actors David Cross, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Amber Tamblyn, and celebrity chef David Chang.  If there is one thing that Del the Funky Homosapien is known for, it is for keeping things interesting as one of the more eclectic artists in the music scene today.

Stream the album, via Pitchfork right now. The album is set for release on October 1st through Bulk Recordings.

Deltron 3030 is set to embark on a small tour around North America in support of the album. Joining the group on several dates will be a 16-piece orchestra, including a both of the group’s New York shows at Brooklyn Bowl and Highline Ballroom (see dates below).
