On Friday night, The String Cheese Incident opened up their three-night weekend run at Eugene, OR’s gorgeous Cuthbert Amphitheater.

The sextet kicked off their first set with “Get To You”, a tune the band released out of their SCI Sound Lab in 2018 and features The Motet’s Lyle Divinsky on the studio version. Bill Nershi then led the way into “On the Road” before Michael Travis and Jason Hann worked their way through a “Drums” segment. Following “Search”, SCI sandwiched a cover of Supertramp‘s “Breakfast In America” in between “Falling Through The Cracks”. The six-piece continued on with a seamless segue of “Galactic”, Bob Marley & The Wailers‘ “Bend Down Low”, and “Beautiful” to bring their first set to a close.

Following a brief set break, The String Cheese Incident returned to open up their second set with “Blackberry Blossom”, which was following up by a segue of “Best Feeling”, “Illegal”, and “Outside and Inside”. Moving out of the explosive “Outside and Inside”, SCI brought their second set to a close with a pairing of “Sweet Melinda” into “So Far From Home”. The band returned to deliver a two-song encore of “How Mountain Girls Can Love” and “Colliding”.

The String Cheese Incident returns to Eugene’s Cuthbert Amphitheater tonight, Saturday, September 28th for the second show of their three-night weekend run. For a full list of the band’s upcoming tour dates, ticketing, and more information, head to The String Cheese Incident’s website.
