The Strokes have shared the latest single which will appear on the rock band’s forthcoming studio album, The New Abnormal, due out this Friday (April 10th) via RCA Records. Entitled, “Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus” as a play on their hometown New York City roots, the latest release follows the previously-shared new originals “Bad Decisions” and “At The Door” which will all appear on the Rick Rubin-produced studio project.

The 3:47 minute track opens up with a catchy synth-driven riff, which rolls into Julian Casablancas‘ verse lyrics. The song powers along with plenty of energy thanks to some spunky keyboard sounds alongside the rapid 16th notes coming out of Fabrizio Moretti hi-hat cymbal.

The Strokes have also since debuted new originals to appear on The New Abnormal during select performances over the past year with “The Adults Are Talking” and “Ode To The Mets“. The band also upped the promo for their forthcoming album when they performed at a Bernie Sanders presidential campaign rally in February.

The Strokes had started their North American spring tour at the beginning of March before the universal shutdown of the concert industry thanks to COVID-19 on March 12th.
