STS9 will return to Colorado for its annual summer visit this July for a run dubbed Sound of the Light. The three-night affair begins at the Paramount Theatre in Denver (7/20) and culminates at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison (7/21–7/22).

Tickets for the STS9 Sound of the Light Colorado run go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m. MT. An exclusive pre-sale for the group’s Bandcamp subscribers is currently underway.

For the shows at Red Rocks, STS9 promises three full “custom-crafted” setlists each night, with a special “ChromaLight” middle set. The instrumental dancetronic ensemble will share more information on the special “ChromaLight” set soon. Additionally, the band has promised a Thursday pre-Rocks show at the Paramount Theatre that “the hardcore and setlist specialists won’t want to miss.”

“Red Rocks is an ancient monument built to mark astronomical events and capture the light of the cosmos,” the band wrote on social media. “Our production is the instrument we use to experience and project this light more info to come about our plans for transforming RRX Amphitheatre into an all new STS9 experience.”

Sound of the Light continues the storied saga of STS9’s carefully crafted Red Rocks shows. Last year, the band returned to Morrison for Walk the Sky, the third and final chapter of the band’s conceptual trilogy that began in 2019 with Push the Sky, followed in 2021 by Sky World.
