[12/9/22]: Summer Camp Music Festival will return to Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL for another Memorial Day Weekend celebration in 2023. Organizers Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment detailed the initial lineup on Friday, which includes headliners Willie Nelson & Family, Excision, Vulfpeck, and two sets of Goose.
In addition to three days of hosts Umphrey’s McGee and moe., Summer Camp 2023 will also feature a rare performance from Les Claypool’s Flying Frog Brigade and livetronic staples The Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Papadosio, and SunSquabi. Funky Vulfpeck guitarist Cory Wong will stage a solo set in addition to electronic favorites Girl Talk, The Floozies, Manic Focus, and more.
Summer Camp veteran Keller Williams will return with his eponymous solo trio, in addition to sets from Andy Frasco & The U.N., Break Science, Maddy O’Neal, The Funk Hunters, Yonder Mountain String Band, The Wailers, and Sierra Hull. Members of The String Cheese Incident will be found throughout the festival with performances by Bill & Jillian Nershi featuring Jason Hann as well as Kyle Hollingsworth Band and Michael Travis‘ new project Snakes and Stars with Aaron Johnston (David Byrne, Brazilian Girls).
The initial 2023 Summer Camp lineup also hosts Doom Flamingo, TAUK featuring Kanika Moore, Big Something, lespecial, Fortunate Youth, Circles Around The Sun, Allie Kral & The Mighty Pines, Aqueous, DENM, Dogs In A Pile, Eggy, Melt, Perpetual Groove, Son Little, Southern Avenue, Tripp St., Yam Yam, and many more.
