SunSquabi will perform two consecutive nights of drive-in concerts in the parking lot of the Strings Pavilion in Steamboat Springs, CO on August 7th and 8th.

The announcement comes as more and more bands come resigned to the fact that drive-in concerts are the new normal for the foreseeable future. Whereas just two months ago these concerts were organized by individual bands, now, even large corporations—including Major League Baseball—have gotten in on the fad.

During the ongoing live event hiatus, the group has been a regular contributor to the Live From Out There digital tours, presented by 11E1even Group, but this will be the band’s first performances in front of a live audience since the pandemic decimated the live events industry.

“With 2020 being one of the most difficult and surprising years of not only the history of SunSquabi but our whole lives, being able to create an environment where everyone can enjoy a live experience safely is a godsend,” guitarist Kevin Donohue said. “We love Steamboat and we will be bringing the heat all weekend for these nights. We look forward to experimenting and making this the coolest event possible.”
