Aaron Johnston, NYC music scene regular and drummer for both Brazilian Girls and JEDI, was recently diagnosed with a genetic condition called Fabry Disease. After undergoing dialysis, doctors determined that Johnston is in urgent need of a kidney transplant within the next six months. In October, a GoFundMe was launched to help Aaron with the ever-increasing medical bills associated with his condition. The campaign is also seeking a potential living kidney donor to help save the life of Johnston, a father of five.

This Saturday, January 18th, Johnston will take the stage at New York’s Sony Hall for an official Umphrey’s McGee Beacon late-night with Supernatural Beings, the side project which also features Umphrey’s McGee guitarist Jake Cinninger and keyboardist Joel Cummins, Thievery Corporation bassist Ashish Vyas, and Shred Is Dead guitarist Marcus Rezak. A portion of the proceeds from the show will be donated to Aaron Johnston’s GoFundMe, so the more people that show up, the more money we raise!

For those that can’t make the show, your donations are still welcome and appreciated here.

Tickets to the Supernatural Beings late-night at Sony Hall on Saturday, January 18th in support of Johnston’s medical bills are available here. For additional information and event updates, check out the Facebook Event page
