Tame Impala has shared a new music video for “Is It True”, one of the new songs featured on the Australian rock band’s 2020 studio album, The Slow Rush. Some fans may remember it was the song of choice for Kevin Parker‘s virtual performance on The Late Show back in the spring.
The retro-inspired lyric video highlights Parker with the use of grainy, technicolored editing formats, where color and psychedelic-inspired edits lead the way in hopes of matching the melodic movement of the uptempo song. Although the video feels like it’s been pulled out of MTV‘s 80s-era vault, the new video released last Thursday takes viewers on a trip out of today’s bleak existence and into a digital world of endless possibilities.

Although there will presumably be no festivals for the remainder of 2020, Tame Impala has already been featured on a mix of major music events scheduled for next year, including Spain’s Primavera Sound Barcelona in June 2021.
