Tank and the Bangas have released “Big” a new collaboration with fellow New Orleans favorite and bounce music pioneer, Big Freedia. The chemically-assisted party track arrives with an unsurprisingly outrageous music video.

While Tank and the Bangas—comprised of Tarriona “Tank” Ball (frontwoman, lead vocals), Albert Allenback (alto saxophone, flute), Joshua Johnson (drums) and Norman Spence (keys)—are known to change genres and styles on a dime, this track is an unfettered blast of bass-heavy hip-hop.

In the video, we see Freedia, Tank, and company in lab coats mixing some mysterious “juice.” At Freedia’s urging, Tank takes a sip of the psychedelic purple liquid from a beaker… and things quickly turn up. “What?!” Tank exclaims, “Turn that beat up!”

The rest of the video brief but potent track—emceed with captivating flow by Ball—sees Drs. Tank and Freedia deliver “the juice to make the dancefloor move” to various parties around town, causing things to get wilder and bigger along the way. Of course, this being a Freedia joint, there are plenty of twerking booties to go around, too.

“This song boasts big energy from two talented New Orleans artists,” notes drummer Joshua Johnson about the track. “Tank effortlessly twists and turns lyrics at will during the verses only to open the stage for Big Freedia to join her on the hook. Anytime Tank and The Bangas and Big Freedia get together it’s a banga but this time it’s a BIG one!”
