Tank and The Bangas have shared a new original single inspired by André 3000 in honor of the Outkast rapper’s 44th birthday on Wednesday. Entitled, “For André”, the three-minute song follows the New Orleans-based band’s previous 2020 release alongside Kimbra and Jacob Collier, “In My Bones“, and is now available to stream on major digital platforms.

“We love André 3000. We love Outkast,” the band mentioned in a statement with the song’s arrival on Wednesday. “André has culturally shaped hip-hop in a very unique way from his clothing to his cadence. Tank fell in love with him along with the rest of the world a long time ago. For his birthday, we all thought an ode to him would be the perfect gift.”
