Progressive instrumental rock four-piece TAUK will make a stop at Colorado’s iconic Boulder Theater on February 21st as part of the band’s Squad Tour 2020.

After closing out 2019 with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong at Exploreasheville.com Arena for “The Electric Kool-Aid Asheville Test”, TAUK will look to spark up the new decade with a 31-date Squad Tour 2020 spanning across 19 states, and even flying overseas with Umphrey’s McGee for their Rockjavik residency in Iceland come March.

As their 15th show on tour, TAUK will make their debut at the Boulder Theater for two guest-filled sets. The band will begin the night with a first classic TAUK set, and debut a “TAUKing Wonder” set in tribute of Stevie Wonder. The TAUKing Wonder segment of the evening will welcome guests Kim Dawson on vocals, Nick Gerlach and Gabe Mervine on horns, Jeff Franca on percussion, and Deshawn “D’Vibes” Alexander on keys. Colorado’s own Eminence Ensemble will provide support for the night.

“We wanted to make our debut at the amazing Boulder Theater extra special so we decided to get some help from some of our favorite Colorado musicians. We’ve been lucky enough to make music with all of them over the years but never as one big group, we know this lineup is gonna bring the heat! I for one don’t trust anybody who doesn’t like Stevie Wonder and can’t wait to put our TAUK twist on some of these timeless songs,” TAUK’s Matt Jalbert said.

TAUK has been known to add a musical mix to some of their sets, having played “TAUKing Beatles” at Resonance Music & Arts Festival in 2018 and “TAUKing Hendrix” at their Brooklyn Bowl show with guests Nate Werth and Nick Cassarino in 2019. TAUKing Wonder is a whole new musical concept and will be debuted for the first time at the Boulder Theater for a special musically-collaborative show.

TAUK’s debut at the Boulder Theater will mark their return to the beloved Colorado city of Boulder since their last play at the Fox Theatre with EXMAG in 2018. Having sold-out their last Boulder performance show, TAUK will return to Denver’s sister city over a year later for an even bigger performance that fans won’t want to miss.
