Tedeschi Trucks Band is gearing up to release a brand new album on February 15th, SIGNS, marking their fourth studio album and first release since 2016’s Let Me Get By. The recently-released single “Hard Case” came in the second slot of the night, following the opening Derek and the Dominos cover, “Anyday”, and before the band’s rendition of Charles Segar’s “Key to the Highway”. The remainder of the first set included TTB originals, “Bound for Glory”, “Right On Time”, “Midnight In Harlem”, and “Made Up My Mind”.

In traditional Tedeschi Trucks Band fashion, the second set was made up primarily of covers, including The Coasters‘ “Let’s Go Get Stoned”, Johnny Moore’s Three Blazers‘ “How Blue Can You Get?”, Sleepy John Estes‘ “Leaving Trunk”, Allman Brothers Band‘s “Dreams”, and Dr. John‘s “I Walk on Gilded Splinters”.

The band’s performance of “Dreams” marked the first-time-ever covering the Allman Brothers Band tune, satisfying fans far and wide. Of course, anytime hearing Derek Trucks return to his ABB roots is special, and so it comes with great appreciation that another tune has been added to the forever growing TTB songbook–just two days after the anniversary of Uncle Butch Trucks‘ untimely death.

After the two set show, Tedeschi Trucks Band returned to the stage for a celebratory encore with an energetically-charged Sly & The Family Stone medley, “Sing A Simple Song / I Want To Take You Higher”.

While this tour features a slightly different iteration of the band, with Brandon Boone filling in on bass duty and Gabe Dixon covering the keys, the band continues to charge through the new year with full steam ahead.

In addition to their upcoming tour dates–including multi-night runs at the Saenger Theatre, Ryman Auditorium, Warner Theatre, and more–Tedeschi Trucks Band will celebrate the official release of SIGNS with a show at Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday, February 20th. Tickets for the album release show at Brooklyn Academy of Music are on sale now. Every pair of tickets purchased for this show will come with a digital download of the new album.
