On Friday night, Tedeschi Trucks Band opened up their annual residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre with the first of six performances spanning over nine days. The show marked bassist Brandon Boone‘s Beacon Theatre debut with TTB.

The 12-piece band led by Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi opened up their first set with “Signs, High Times”, the first track that appears on their recently released Signs LP. Tedeschi Trucks Band continued on with “High & Mighty” and a cover of Elton John‘s “Border Song” before working through setlist staples “Still Your Mind”, “Life Is Crazy”, “Hard Case”, and Derek and the Dominos‘ “Keep On Growing”. TTB brought their first set to a close with “Shame”, the fourth Signs song of the set.

Following a brief set break, Tedeschi Trucks Band returned and kicked off their second frame with “Don’t Let Me Slide” before working through the Allman Brothers Band‘s “Don’t Keep Me Wonderin'”, a fitting cover to play at the Beacon. The band continued on with a mix of originals and covers including “Don’t Drift Away”, “Part Of Me”, Sleepy John Estes‘ “Leavin’ Trunk”, “Laugh About It”, Freddie King‘s “Have You Ever Loved A Woman”, “Made Up Mind”, and a set-closing take on “Bound For Glory”. TTB returned to deliver of a lone encore of Joe Tex‘s “Show Me”.
