Tedeschi Trucks Band continued their 2018 Wheels of Soul tour on Saturday night, stopping in Gilford, New Hampshire for a performance at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. Joined by Drive-By Truckers and The Marcus King Band, the twelve-piece offered up a fiery performance highlighted by the debut of a Bob Dylan cover, “Going, Going, Gone”.

After Friday night’s performance at Hartford, Connecticut’s Xfinity Theatre, where the band was joined by Allman Brothers Band drummer Jaimoe, Marcus King, and Marcus King Band’s horn section of Justin Johnson and Dean Mitchell, Tedeschi Trucks Band was primed for the Saturday night show. Most notably, the band opened their encore with the “Going, Going, Gone” cover—a tune off 1974’s Planet Waves, which was likely also used as a tribute to the late Gregg Allman, who covered the song on his final album, Southern Blood.

Other highlights included the band’s energized, fan-favorite rendition of “Tell The Truth” early on during the show, which followed the band’s opening numbers of “Anyhow” and “I Want More”, as well as the group’s set-closing “Whipping Post”. The latter, “Whipping Post”, came out of the group’s standout rendition of “The Storm”, and was not initially included on the setlist for the night.
