On Wednesday night, Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off their 2019 fall tour with a performance at Houston, TX’s Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Memphis-bred soul/blues outfit Southern Avenue handled the evening’s opening duties.

The 12-piece outfit led by husband-and-wife duo Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi opened up their single-set performance with “Don’t Know What It Means”, which was followed up by a cover of The Box Tops‘ “The Letter”. Per Setlist.FM, Tedeschi Trucks Band continued on with a mix of originals and covers including “Do I Look Worried”, “Still Your Mind”, “High & Mighty”, Derek and the Dominos‘ “Bell Bottom Blues”, “I Want More”, “Part Of Me”, and Allen Toussaint‘s “Get Out Of My Life, Woman”.

TTB continued on with “It’s So Heavy”, the Allman Brothers Band‘s “Don’t Keep Me Wonderin'”, “Shame”, “Midnight In Harlem”, and a proper ending of “I Want More” to close out the set. The band returned to deliver a two-song encore of Elton John‘s “Border Song” and “Made Up Mind”.
