On Saturday night, Tedeschi Trucks Band continued their Wheels of Soul tour at Sterling Heights, MI’s Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill. As always, tour collaborators The Marcus King Band and Drive-By Truckers opened the evening with sets of their own, and members of both bands continued the collaborative theme of the summer by jumping in on TTB’s headlining performance. Watch fan-shot footage of a  Justin Johnson trumpet solo during the Marcus King Band set below:

Tedeschi Trucks Band’s headlining set saw the band mix in fan-favorite originals new and old in addition to a trio of Bob Dylan covers that have appeared with increasing frequency throughout this tour (“Lord Protect My Child”, “Down In The Flood”, and “Going, Going Gone”, the last of which featured Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers). The set also included the tour debut of Derek Trucks Band‘s “Don’t Miss Me”, as well as a run through the recently debuted “High & Mighty” with help from DBT’s Jay Gonzalez. For their encore, the band welcomed Marcus King Band keyboardist DeShawn “D’Vibes” Alexander to augment the anthemic title track from their 2016 album, Let Me Get By.

Below, you can watch stage-shot footage of Tedeschi Trucks Band performing “Part of Me”, in addition to a selection of crowd-shot clips from the show.
