Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks brought their stripped-down, socially distant Fireside LIVE 2021 tour to Frederick, MD’s Showtime At The Drive-In this past weekend for a three-night Independence Day Weekend run.

The run closed out on Saturday, July 3rd as intermittent rain showers fell on the drive-in venue. While the six-piece lineup—comprised of Trucks and Tedeschi alongside drummer Tyler Greenwell, vocalist Mike Mattison, bassist Brandon Boone, and keyboardist Gabe Dixon—battled high winds at times during the show, the band still managed to turn in an exciting performance featuring a well-balanced mix of originals new and old alongside choice blues, rock, and soul covers.
