Over the weekend, the Telluride Jazz Festival entered its 41st year, returning to its gorgeous home in the town center of the famed Colorado mountain ski town, Telluride. Over its four decades of existence, the annual festival has consistently evolved, increasingly pulling from a disperse spread of genres while still remaining rooted in its improvisational, jazz-focused roots. This year, across August 3rd to 5th, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Irma Thomas, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Badbadnotgood, Turkuaz, Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles, and more were on hand to celebrate the beloved three-day event.
