It’s official: Temple of the Dog have reunited for their first ever tour. The band–made up of Stone GossardMike McCready, and Jeff Ament from Pearl Jam, and Chris Cornell and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden–recorded one album together in the early 90s (just before the formation of Pearl Jam), and have finally pulled together for a triumphant string of live dates. The band kicked things off last night with a show at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia, and they showcased the pure joy of rock ‘n’ roll that brought them together in the first place. Performing a 23-song set of songs from their self-titled debut album, their recently recently released EP, Temple of the Dog pre-cursor Mother Love Bone, and a few choice covers by David BowieLed Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and The Cure, and more, Temple of the Dog owned Philadelphia during a truly memorable performance.

See below for several fan-shot videos, as well as a full setlist from the evening. Temple of the Dog continue their tour tonight with another show in Philadelphia, before they hit New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle to complete the limited special run. If you have a chance to catch Temple of the Dog, do not miss out, as you may never have a chance to see them again.
