After last year’s inaugural Festival Supreme, a music and comedy festival curated by Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the duo that makes up Tenacious D, was by all accounts a success, the group announced the return of the festival in October.  The one-day festival is set for October 25 at the L.A. Sports Arena and Exhibition Park in Los Angeles.
Last year’s edition, which featured performances by Adam Sandler, Patton Oswalt, Mr. Show (Bob Odenkirk and David Cross), The Lonely Island and others in addition to the headlining performance by Tenacious D themselves, this year’s edition promises to be, “improved tenfold.”
The statement from the band said, “Yes, Festival Supreme was the comedy and music event of 2013…but we’ve improved it tenfold. Festival Supreme 2 (The Metal Years) will feature a dark carnival haunted house circus of death! A hilarious short film festival!! Improved plumbing!!! And a line up of comedians and musicians that will shake the heavens!!!! We will leave all other comedy/music festivals crying in the dust. That’s a Tenacious D promise.”
The lineup is set to be announced on May 27, and tickets go on sale on May 30.
