New Jersey-based experimental prog-rock group Thank You Scientist has announced a run of tour dates throughout the end of fall and into early winter months before the year comes to a close. The seven-piece band continues to promote the release of its latest studio effort, 2019’s Terraformer, which premiered exclusively on Live For Live Music in June.

Thank You Scientist’s first full-fledged national headlining tour will begin on a show at Montage Music Hall in Rochester, NY on November 7th and continues until December 14th with a show at Mercury Lounge in New York, NY. The band will hit cities from coast to coast throughout the tour including the Beat Kitchen in Chicago, IL (11/10); Columbia City Theater in Seattle, WA (11/19); the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles, CA (11/24); Purgatory at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA (12/3); and Underground Arts in Philadelphia, PA (12/11) to name a few.

The band will be joined in support throughout the tour by Bent Knee and The Tea Club.

“We are unreasonably excited to announce our first full-fledged US tour for our latest release–the inconveniently-long, yet suspiciously-charming, TERRAFORMER,'” bandleader and guitarist Tom Monda added in a statement to go with the announcement. “An unexpected byproduct of our years of sloggin’ it out is the incredible network of friends we’ve made across the country, friends whose support make it possible for us to keep creating, even under occasionally dire circumstances, and can’t wait to visit all of you across the country this winter … We promise these shows will be an incredible celebration for us and the fellow weirdos we’ve met on this strange journey.”

Monda continued with comments on the tour’s lineup in stating, “The Tea Club is a band I have loved and admired for years, so much so that I coerced them to join us on our first-ever US tour many years ago! Their line up has since expanded to include my brother on drums, making this tour figuratively and literally a family event. Don’t sleep on this or you’re grounded.”

Tickets for the 30-date tour go on sale this Friday, September 6th at 10 a.m. local time at the band’s website.
