The Dead Weather will release their first full-length album since 2010’s Sea of Cowards this September, entitled Dodge & Burn. Made up of the incomparable Jack White, The Kills’ Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence, the new album is reportedly “thick and heavy” and “will satisfy your urges for the dark magic that is The Dead Weather for a very long time.”

Beyond the sporadically released singles by The Dead Weather over the past few years – “Buzzkill(er)”, “It’s Just Too Bad”, “Open Up (That’s Enough)”, “Rough Detective” – the new album will contain eight new, unreleased tracks. Unfortunately, due to to their own respective band obligations, don’t expect to see any touring from The Dead Weather anytime soon. This will be a strictly studio endeavor.

The limited-edition LP of Dodge & Burn will be made available through a subscription to the “Vault” of White’s ‘Third Man’ record label. Called “Vault Package #25,” the album comes on “inclement weather” vinyl, a mixture of yellow and black “debris” melted in. The album package also comes with a poster and the LP itself will be presented in special protective sleeve with alternate cover art and “sandpaper flames.”

Additionally, this great package will offer a seven-inch recording of “I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)” and “Cop and Go” as well as a previously released custom deck of playing cards designed by Silent Giants with each of the band members faces on either the king, queen, jack or joker. Quite the deal, indeed! As a bit of preview, here is a sampler via Third Man Records of what is to come on Dodge & Burn:
