The Disco Biscuits Bust Out "Step Inside" During Night One At The Caverns [Photos/Video]

The Disco Biscuits rolled into The Caverns in Pelham, TN on Friday night for the first of three shows at the natural, underground music venue. The band originally scheduled this run of shows for September 3rd–6th, 2020, but later postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Coming off a three-night Halloween run at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas in congruence with Phish’s performances at MGM Grand Garden Arena, tDB arrived refreshed and ready for a weekend of jams. The first set of the evening began with a bust-out of “Step Inside”, which the quartet originally debuted on April 15th, 2006 at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT, and hadn’t played since March 15th, 2010 at Philadelphia, PA’s Theater Of Living Arts (401 shows, per Phantasy Tour).

Members Marc Brownstein (bass), Aron Magner (keys), Jon “Barber” Gutwillig (guitar), and Allen Aucoin (drums) continued with venue-specific songs, “The Tunnel” and “Caves of the East”, before segueing to “Basis For A Day” and “Story Of The World”. Philly’s favorite jamtronica outfit then gave set two the sandwich treatment, with two ends of “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line” filled with “M1” and “House Dog Party Flavor”. This mid-set snack came topped with “After Midnight” and “a return to “Basis For A Day”.

The Disco Biscuits will continue its run at The Caverns tonight, November 20th, and again on November 21st. Head to the band’s website for tickets and additional tour information.
