The Disco Biscuits have released “Who’s in Charge”, the latest in a gradual string of new singles set to appear on their forthcoming first studio album since 2010. The new track follows previous 2022 singles “Lake Shore Drive“, “Evolve“, and “M1“.

Even among a collection of tracks seemingly geared toward the electronic end of the band’s stylistic spectrum, “Who’s in Charge” has a notable house music tilt. The song, filled with droning bass, technologically enhanced vocals, and tastefully varied drum sounds, drops the “jam band” pretense, hits the club, and heads straight for the dance floor to show the people, in no uncertain terms, who’s in charge of this place right here.

The band has debuted a slew of new songs, including the four official singles, throughout its ongoing 2022 touring campaign. “Who’s in Charge” was first played live by The Disco Biscuits in Baltimore on June 10th of this year and has been performed live an additional four times since, per Phantasy Tour. The band will take the stage one again in late August for a run of shows in the Midwest and a two-night run at The Caverns in Pelham, TN.
