Recently, The Highwomen, a relatively-new supergroup comprised of Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby, offered up live musical performances for the The Howard Stern Show and SiriusXM.
For their SiriusXM appearance, The Highwomen worked through “Redesigning Women”, one of the 12 tracks off of their forthcoming self-titled debut album, which is due out on September 6th via Elektra Records. Carlile, Morris, Shires, and Hemby were joined by keyboardist Peter Levin, multi-instrumentalist Charley Crockett, Amanda’s husband and guitarist Jason Isbell, and Brandi’s bandmates bassist Phil Hanseroth, guitarist Tim Hanseroth, and drummer Chris Powell at SiriusXM.

For their appearance on The Howard Stern Show, The Highwomen were joined by the Hanseroths and Isbell for a rendition of Fleetwood Mac‘s “The Chain”, which the supergroup recently recorded for the forthcoming film, The Kitchen. The Kitchen is set to hit theaters nationwide on Friday, June 9th, and stars Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elizabeth Moss. Based on Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle’s Vertigo comic book miniseries, the film’s plot focuses on three women who take over their husbands’ criminal enterprise in 1970s New York City after the Irish mobsters are arrested.
