The Infamous Stringdusters will return on February 18th, 2022 with a new album of original music, Toward The Fray. This announcement comes on the heels of the band hosting the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards, where The Stringduster’s own Jeremy Garrett took home “Instrumental Recording of the Year” for his part in a Jon Weisberger-produced group performance of Earl Scruggs’ classic, “Ground Speed”.

Toward The Fray follows the group’s full-length tribute to The Father of Bluegrass Bill Monroe which dropped earlier this year. The new LP, however, will consist of all original music, marking the group’s first studio album of all-new music since 2019’s Rise Sun.

“It’s been fun to explore a little bit of The Dusters’ darker side for this album,” dobro player Andy Hall said in a statement. “Sometimes the times call for some serious reflection, and these songs really hit home. Get ready to go deep with us!”
