After cancelling last night’s show at The Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ, The Killers decided to cancel tonight’s highly anticipated Madison Square Garden show due to frontman Brandon Flowers coming down with a sore throat. Tomorrow night’s show at Toronto’s Air Canada Center has also been postponed. The band’s organizers plan to announce a new New York City date for The Killers right away. The band expressed their apologies to fans and urge them to hold onto their tickets to redeem at a future date. Otherwise, refunds are available at all points of purchase. Tegan and Sara, who were set to open for the band, just recently added a second headlining show at NYC’s Beacon Theatre.
The Killers, who had to cancel their Manchester tour date earlier this year for the same reason, recently released their fourth studio album titled “Battle Born,” which fans were eager to hear live. Brandon needs to take care of that throat while news on replacement dates surfaces in the coming days.
