After coming back from a ten-year hiatus in 2022 with The Mars Volta, Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodríguez-López are showing no signs of slowing down with a new slate of tour dates. The run of ten concerts sees the post-hardcore prog-rock band returning to several markets the band hit last fall on its first tour in a decade.

The Mars Volta will return to the road beginning on May 6th in Atlanta. The group will play throughout the Southern United States from coast to coast, including another hometown show in El Paso, TX on May 14th. Additional stops include San Diego (5/12), New Orleans (5/18), and Houston (5/19). The tour is set to wrap in Daytona Beach on May 21st.

Tickets for the newly announced Mars Volta tour dates go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time via the band’s website. These dates come in addition to festival appearances at Primavera SoundShaky KneesMad Cool, and Welcome To Rockville, as well as a date opening for Red Hot Chili Peppers in San Antonio (the day after the band’s headlining performance in the same Texas city).
