This fall, Colorado-based funk powerhouse The Motet will embark on an extensive cross-country tour, hitting 20+ cities along the way. Live for Live Music will be right there with them throughout the entire run, bringing you exclusive content in the form of real-time updates from the road, live video footage, interviews, track premieres, show coverage, and more.

Phase one of the tour kicks off in Hartford on 10/6, followed by stops throughout the Northeast. A brief Texas run leading into Halloween in Asheville will see the band perform their beloved throwback set, this time tackling the golden age of disco with “Mixtape 1979”. The tour culminates with a 3-night stand in Oregon, with several additional dates TBA.

The band will be joined by a heavy roster of supporting acts, including Sophistafunk, Mingo Fishtrap, Mammal Dap, Dale and the Zdubs, and Polyrhythmics.

With the recent release of Totem, The Motet has established themselves as one of today’s most exciting and fresh funk acts. Produced by Eric Krasno, the album is a masterpiece of future space funk with world and dance elements liberally mixed in. Give it a listen and read our review here.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with this unstoppable band, and look forward to bringing you tons of exclusive content in the coming months. Check out the complete touring roster below. Presales are currently underway here, with general on-sale beginning this Friday, 7/29.
