the New Deal to Play Philly’s Electric Factory (11/28) and NYC’s Terminal 5 (11/29)

Earlier this year, the New Deal announced their return to the stage after taking a hiatus for a few years. Original members Jamie Shields and Dan Kurtz have spent the last several months with new drummer Joel Stouffer (Kurtz’ Dragonette bandmate) traveling around the North American festival circuit, and have brought some serious heat to their sets, as they prepped for their first headlining tour in several years. L4LM interviewed Dan Kurtz recently, and the bassist discussed the decision to comeback without original drummer Darren Shearer, the energy and experience Joel Stouffer brings to the table, their summer festival shows, what the future holds and more. Check out the full interview here.

With the band firing on all cylinders, their return shows to Philly’s Electric Factory on Friday, Nov. 28th, and NYC’s Terminal 5 on Saturday, Nov. 29th will be straight fire. Expect the New Deal to put their best foot forward and prove to fans why this was the biggest comeback announcement of 2014. Along for the ride will be Conspirator, the full-on touring “side project” of the Disco Biscuits‘ Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner, along with guitarist Chris Michetti and drummer Torch.
