Multi-disciplinary New Orleans brass outfit The Soul Rebels have released a pair of never-before-heard bonus tracks from their most recent album, 2019’s Poetry In Motion, mixed with “360 Reality Audio” technology.
The first, “Groove Train”, a smooth, smoky slab of baby-making R&B, features lead vocals from fellow NOLA local Nigel Hall (Lettuce). The second, an instrumental called “Musica”, is a Latin jazz odyssey guided by lauded trumpeter/composer Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah.
According to a press release, 360 Reality Audio is “an immersive music experience that uses Sony‘s object-based 360 Spatial Sound technologies. Individual sounds such as vocals, chorus, piano, guitar, bass and even sounds of the live audience can be placed in a 360 spherical sound field, giving artists and creators a new way to express their creativity.”
