The Soul Rebels will return to Brooklyn Bowl at the end of this month for their annual weekend residency with two very special guests, legendary rapper Black Thought (The Roots) and R&B singer-songwriter Elle Varner.

First, on Friday, March 24th the eight-piece New Orleans hip-hop/funk brass ensemble will welcome acclaimed rapper and The Roots cofounder Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter. Then, the following night, The Soul Rebels will be joined by Grammy-nominated songstress Elle Varner.

“Our band is constantly growing, evolving and tapping into different sources of inspiration at Brooklyn Bowl,” said Julian Gosin of The Soul Rebels. “This year we are extremely excited and grateful to perform with one of the greatest MCS to ever do it, the powerful Black Thought, who will join us on our first night. On our second night, Elle Varner, who has one of the purist, most soulful and beautiful voices today, will grace the stage with us.”

The collaborative sets come as the latest in a long list of joint musical ventures for The Soul Rebels, who have become the go-to for A-list artists looking to add a brassy New Orleans flavor to their tracks and performances.
