Touring in support of their recently released albumKingdom In My Mind, The Wood Brothers wasted no time welcoming fans to their mind palace. Following an opening set by Kat Wright, the trio—comprised of brothers Chris (guitar/vocals) and Oliver Wood (bass/vocals), as well as Jano Rix (drums/shuitar)—delved right into the Kingdom In My Mind track, “Alabaster”.

Following “Glad” and “Sky High” they moved into the next Kingdom In My Mind number, “Little Bit Sweet”, the third single off the January release. A host of older originals ensued. “Twisted” and “Think About My Death” preceded “Luckiest Man”, “Mary Anna”, and “Sparkling Wine”. “Spirit” followed before “Postcards From Hell”,” Who the Devil” and “The Muse”.

After a traditional cover of “Little Liza Jane”, the Americana trio played another Kingdom In My Mind number, “Cry Over Nothing”. Two covers, “I Got Loaded” by Little Bob & The Lollipops and the Ed Lonnie Young-penned “Chevrolet” led to the set-closing “Honey Jar”. A two-song encore of the original “Stumbled In” and a cover of The Band‘s “Ophelia” helped The Wood Brothers cap off the sold-out show at Webster Hall.
