Rock n’ Roll lives!!! Having just begun their “Lay Down With Number 13″ tour, which is their first in over two years, The Black Crowes have just announced a co-headlining tour with good friends the Tedeschi-Trucks Band over the summer, with The London Souls taking opener duties. The current tour, which will see two shows at Terminal 5 in NYC starting tonight, will continue through June 2nd, after which the band will tour Europe from June 18th to July 6th.
The co-headlining tour with Tedeschi-Trucks Band will begin on July 19th in Nashville, TN and run through August 15th, with shows at Charlotte, NC’s Time Warner Cable Amphitheatre, Boston, MA’s Bank of America Pavilion, Wantagh, NY’s Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre and Chicago, IL’ Charter One Pavilion, among others.
From all reports, the Crowes are on fire right now, especially the recently acquired Jackie Greene, who has been taking his lead guitar skills to the next level on this tour. Here is hoping that this breath of fresh air remains, and the brothers Robinson can figure out a way to play some shows on a semi-regular basis without such long droughts in between.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 12 at 10:00AM local (except for Nashville, which goes on sale Friday, April 26). www.blackcrowes.com
