Third Man Records has announced the arrival of Third Man Public Access, a series of daily live-streamed performances from their famed Blue Room at the company’s Nashville, TN headquarters. The announcement comes amid a flurry of livestream and webcast series announcements following the cancellation of virtually all music events due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Third Man Public Access starts today, March 19th, at 1:00 p.m. ET with a set from pedal steel player Luke Schneider. In addition to assuring fans that the Blue Room will have fewer than 10 people in it at all times, the company explained in a press release,

Third Man Records has always believed that great things come out of restrictions. Artists being restricted from their audiences though? We’re not sure what greatness can come from that. Third Man has a big empty blue room, cameras, internet access, and TONS of talented friends and family who are out of work, so they’re putting this all to use starting today.

Check out the Third Man Records Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook pages for daily performance information. Furthermore, tune-in to their YouTube channel at 1:00 p.m. ET today, and everyday for the foreseeable future to watch and hear Third Man’s favorite artists sharing whatever inspires them during this impossibly dystopian moment in time. Third Man promises a full schedule of performances soon.
