Flashy, feisty, funky L.A. party outfit Thumpasaurus made its first-ever U.S. late-night TV appearance on Thursday night for a rendition of “Struttin'” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Holy,” the band noted when the appearance was announced earlier this week. “Absolutely thrilled to dance across many television screens this Thursday night for our American late night debut.”

Thumpasaurus enjoyed a boost in popularity thanks to the success of 2021’s “Struttin’”, which first garnered viral attention on the band’s TikTok before reaching an even wider audience when it was synced in a popular Samsung commercial featuring a selfie-taking cat. The group spent much of 2023 on the road for its Struttin’ Across America tour and made outlandish appearances at major festivals like The Peach Music Festival, where members of the group made pancakes onstage mid-set and proceeded to throw them into the crowd. In October, the band released its third album, Hard. For more on Thumpasaurus, read our 2022 interview with the band here.
