Organizers for “To Nashville, With Love” have revealed the star-studded lineup for the Nashville benefit concert set for Monday, March 9th. Jason Isbell, Dan Auerbach, Yola, and many more will head to Marathon Music Works in Tenessee’s capital city to raise funds for the people affected by the tornadoes that ravaged the city early Tuesday morning.
The lineup will also include Sheryl Crow, Soccer Mommy, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Ashley McBryde, Brandi Carlile, Brothers Osborne, Mike “Grimey” Grimes, Katie Pruitt, Kendell Marvel, Margo Price, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Sadler Vaden.
In a press release, Isbell remarked, “[Wife/bandmate] Amanda [Shires] and I are proud to call Nashville our home, and we’re proud of the Nashville community’s ability to come together in a time of crisis.” He continued, “We’re lucky that our home and our loved ones are safe, but we know that isn’t the case for many Nashvillians. I’m happy to do what I can to help the city recover.”
Of course, the people of Nashville need support now more than ever. Funds raised from the benefit concert will go directly to the To Nashville, With Love Fund, which supports organizations like The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, the Red Cross’ Southern Tornadoes and Floods Fund, and The OnSite Foundation that help with disaster relief and mental health. The Tuesday morning tornados killed 24 people and leveled dozens of buildings, including The Basement East. The small, but popular, Woodland Street venue has hosted performances from artists like BIG Something & Andy Frasco, Juliana Hatfield, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Marco Benevento, among countless others.
