Tom Morello may act all tough onstage with Rage Against The Machine, but deep down he’s a real sweet heart. This week, the anarchist-rocker sent 10-year-old Nandi Bushell one of his signature Fender Soul Power Stratocasters after a clip of her performing “Guerrilla Radio” went viral earlier this month.

This was far from Bushell’s first brush with fame, as she has gone viral for her musicianship before. A passionate performance of Nirvana‘s “In Bloom” on her YouTube page has over one million views, and she was afforded the opportunity to jam with Lenny Kravitz on Ellen.

In a clip posted to her YouTube page, which boasts an impressive 53,000 subscribers, Bushell is seen being led into the other room where a surprise is waiting for her. After being assured that “it’s not scary,” Bushell enters the room where a video from Morello begins playing. Morello tells her,

Hey Nandi, I’d like you to have this guitar as a gift from me to you because you rock so great, and to see someone rocking so great who is so young, it really gives me hope for the future. I didn’t start playing guitar until I was 17 years old, so you are way, super-far ahead of me, and I look forward to hearing a lot more of your music in the future. You’ve got a lot of soul, and here’s a little Soul Power to go with it. Keep it up!

The elated 10-year-old then opens the box containing one of Morello’s signature axes, which he released earlier this year, and her reaction is nothing short of heartwarming. Like a kid on Christmas morning, Bushell immediately straps on the Strat, which is bigger than she is, and thanks the iconic guitarist for his generosity. Watch the full clip below.
