A new 100-minute documentary about Phish guitarist Trey AnastasioBetween Me & My Mind, is set to premiere at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Friday, April 26th, as part of the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival.

Following the world premiere of Between Me & My MindTrey Anastasio Band will take the Beacon Theatre stage for a special performance.

On Wednesday, Asbury Park Music & Film Festival announced that Between Me & My Mind will be screened on Sunday, April 28th at Asbury Park’s Paramount Theatre. Following the forthcoming documentary’s second-ever screening, Relix Editor-In-Chief Mike Greenhaus will lead a Q&A with producer Jamie Schutz.

The forthcoming documentary was directed by Jamie Schutz and Steven Cantor, and produced by Schutz. A long time Phish fan since 1992, Schutz started trading tapes and dreaming of a career in film. Now, 24 years later, Between Me & My Mind marks his feature directorial debut. Canton, a veteran filmmaker and fellow music lover, has directed a plethora of critically acclaimed documentaries including DancerWillie Nelson: Still Is Still Moving, the Oscar-nominated Blood Ties: The Life & Work Of Sally Mann, the ESPN 30 For 30 Chasing Tyson and many more.

Driven by a constant need to create, Phish frontman Trey Anastasio takes on new projects, including some of his most personal music to date as well as Phish’s ambitious New Year’s Eve show at Madison Square Garden.

The 2019 edition of the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival will take place in various venues and movie theaters throughout the oceanside New Jersey town on April 25th-28th.

The film portion of the weekend will include screenings of documentaries including Echo in the Canyon at the Paramount Theatre on April 25th, featuring a post-screening Q&A with Jakob Dylan, Cat Power, and Jade from Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic ZerosClarance Clemons: Who Do You Think I Am? about the late E Street Band saxophonist will also screen at The Paramount on April 27th; in addition to a screening of David Cosby: Remember My Name at The Paramount on April 27th, with the latter featuring a post-film Q&A with David Crosby and producer Cameron Crowe.

One of the notable screenings that weekend will be Asbury Park: Riot, Redemption, Rock ‘n’ Roll, which screened at the Festival in 2017 but will now feature more interview footage with Asbury Park hero Bruce Springsteen and Max WeinbergRiot, Redemption, Rock ‘n’ Roll will screen at The Paramount Theatre on April 28th.
