Trey Anastasio delivered a marathon performance at Indianapolis’ Murat Theatre at Old National Centre on Saturday night for the latest stop on the Phish guitarist’s ongoing solo acoustic fall tour. On this night, Anastasio reached into his bag of material from the Phish catalog which took up most of the space throughout his 29-song performance for his midwest fans.

The Phish-heavy set began with “Theme From the Bottom”, “Back on the Train”, and “Free”, before the music moved into an instrumental rendition of “The Inlaw Josie Wales”. The show kept rolling with “Water in the Sky”, “Sample in a Jar”, “Limb by Limb”, “Mountains in the Mist”, the feel-good “Blaze On”, and “Brian and Robert” before Anastasio finally pulled out one of his newer solo tunes with the recently-debuted “If Again”.

Another Trey Anastasio Band original in “Snowflakes in the Sand” came next, followed by Trey returning to his Phish realm for “Miss You”, “Driver”, and “Winter Queen”. As he’s done throughout the tour, Anastasio took some time to chat with his fans in the audience prior to his performance of “Driver”, which on this night, heard Trey discuss his take on ‘Wook Culture.’ Watch the entertaining pre-song dialog followed by “Driver” below.

The midway point of the show saw Anastasio deliver the emotional instrumental “Till We Meet Again” followed by two more Phish originals in “Ghost” and “The Wedge”. “My Problem Right There” and “Ghost of the Forest” followed as Trey then revisited “Strange Design” to charge forward into the latter half of the set.

Following another ballad from Ghosts of the Forest with “Brief Time”, the music returned to Phish mode to close the set with “Backwards Down the Number Line”, “Bathtub Gin”, “The Lizards”, and the communal audience chants of “Wilson”.

Trey returned to the stage to send fans home happy with a three-song, Phish-focused encore of “Waste”, “Shade”, and “More”.
