VIP Ticket Auction for Trey Anastasio Band at the Capitol Theatre to Support Community of Newtown, CT

In the wake of the tragedy in Newtown, CT, tickets in the exclusive Presidential Box at the Capitol Theatre for the upcoming Trey Anastasio Band shows are being auctioned to support the victims’ families and their surrounding community. The online auction, organized by HeadCount.org, can be found here. A four-ticket package is available for both the January 23rd and 24th concerts at the historic theater in Port Chester, NY/. Each package also includes a signed poster. 100 percent of the funds raised will be donated to the Sandy Hook Elementary Support Fund or other related charities. Trey played a HeadCount benefit show at the Capitol Theatre on September 7th, and was scheduled to headline there Oct 28th, but that show was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy.

A HeadCount.org donor who lives in Newtown, CT reached out to the music community to come together and help support a town that has been devastated by this recent tragedy. Headcount.org is working with the American Music Therapy Association (which already has a disaster relief fund) to coordinate services to assist the residents of Newtown. 100% of the auction money will go to these services, and to music therapy programs in the school district.

HeadCount recently helped raise $12,000 for Hurricane Sandy relief, and is planning other events in the future to assist in raising money for other important causes. This is a cause that we can all get behind, so we ask that if you are reading this, please share this with your friends, on your Facebook page, your Twitter account, and by word of mouth. The more people that know about this, the more impact this auction will have in helping those that need it most. And we all know that after what happened last week, the community of Newtown needs us now more than ever.
